I read today that Willie Nelson recently covered the Dave Matthews Band song “Gravedigger”, which is one of my favorites. I went to youtube to check it out, and it gave me an eerie feeling like I had seen it before. It gives me the same dark ominous feeling that I had when I first saw the Johnny Cash song “Hurt”, a Nine Inch Nails cover.
Take a look at these two videos… and see what you think.
Willie Nelson singing the Dave Matthews Band cover, Grave Digger
Johnny Cash singing the Nine Inch Nails cover, Hurt.

Update:
I was able to watch the first part of the 4 part series, Browser Wars. Being a self proclaimed technologist and history junkie, I was surprised how much I learned. I didn’t realize that Netscape Browser was on the market before Internet Explorer. After watching this I regained some of my old fear/hate for Microsoft, which as of recent, has been focused on google. I will am anxiously awaiting for my DVR to record the rest of the series.
I really enjoy peanut butter, banana and honey sandwiches. And to my dismay I woke up today to see the top story on CNN.com (you know the main one with the picture on the front page?), was all about how the honey bees are disappearing. I watched a documentary on the science channel awhile back, so I can somewhat assure you that this is for real.
Call Your Local Representative! We need to resolve why this happening, cause I can’t eat peanut butter and banana sandwiches without the honey. Oh wait, did I just say banana?….
Did you know that there is a disease that threatens most of the banana trees world wide? From what that article is saying we have about a decade to enjoy the tasty and nutritious banana.
Wait a second… did I hear something about peanut butter?…. Read this, The Perils of Peanut Butter. So great, now I’m hearing that peanut butter has some crazy mold in it that causes cancer. sweet.
Now that one of my favorite snacks won’t exist in 10 years, and could give me cancer, I’m going to the zoo.
I’m not sure how I stumbled upon this list of Seattle Startups

In case you don’t have time to get through all of them I’ll highlight a few you should check out.

I’m in San Francisco for the Ad:Tech conference. I have some spare time between running around so I’d thought I’d write my first blog post.
Every time I visit San Francisco., I’m blown away by how large the homeless population is in this city and for some reason they are more aggressive then anyplace I have ever been.
I make it a rule to not give anyone money, unless of course they are selling the Street Sheet, by the Coalition on Homelessness, San Francisco. The Street Sheet is a local newspaper style publication produced to give the homeless a way to make a buck. I’m a big supporter of this paper, as it serves a dual purpose. It gets information out to the public about the problems and issues facing the homeless and it gives people a way to make money without sitting idle. I make it a point to buy one on every visit down here, I also like chatting with the people selling them as they are mostly nice and have something interesting to say.
STREET SHEET is a monthly tabloid written primarily by homeless and formerly homeless people that provides its readers with a perspective on homelessness that mainstream media simply cannot match. It provides a unique opportunity to its vendors as well: a dignified alternative to panhandling. The STREET SHEET (cover price $1) is given free to qualified poor and homeless San Franciscans, who get to retain 100% of the proceeds from their sales. Last year, the paper celebrated its 15th anniversary, making it the oldest continuously published street newspaper in the world.
Next time your in San Francisco and someone approaches you with a Street Sheet, buy one and tell them to keep it up.
