I’ve decided, its official… Sunday is my favorite day of the week. It was close race, Friday ran a good campaign but in the end Domingo pulled ahead. I just had a most enjoyable evening. Just the right amount of food. the most appropriate music. top notch company. subtle lighting. comfy socks. good buzz.
While digesting and chillin, I realized that over the past 2 weeks I’ve done a whole slew of fun stuff worthy blogging about. Read more…

Update:
I was able to watch the first part of the 4 part series, Browser Wars. Being a self proclaimed technologist and history junkie, I was surprised how much I learned. I didn’t realize that Netscape Browser was on the market before Internet Explorer. After watching this I regained some of my old fear/hate for Microsoft, which as of recent, has been focused on google. I will am anxiously awaiting for my DVR to record the rest of the series.
I really enjoy peanut butter, banana and honey sandwiches. And to my dismay I woke up today to see the top story on CNN.com (you know the main one with the picture on the front page?), was all about how the honey bees are disappearing. I watched a documentary on the science channel awhile back, so I can somewhat assure you that this is for real.
Call Your Local Representative! We need to resolve why this happening, cause I can’t eat peanut butter and banana sandwiches without the honey. Oh wait, did I just say banana?….
Wait a second… did I hear something about peanut butter?…. Read this, The Perils of Peanut Butter. So great, now I’m hearing that peanut butter has some crazy mold in it that causes cancer. sweet.
Now that one of my favorite snacks won’t exist in 10 years, and could give me cancer, I’m going to the zoo.
I’m not sure how I stumbled upon this list of Seattle Startups , but I spent quite a bit of time scouring through it. I love seeing what people have going on. If you get some spare time you should check some of these companies out. Who knows there might be the next ________ in this list.
Where do you think they come up with some of these names… Avvo?
In case you don’t have time to get through all of them I’ll highlight a few you should check out.
Programmable Web - a personal favorite of mine. This site has pretty much been the go to resource for watching the mashup revolution take hold.
Avvo - A site to help you find the right lawyer… (I think we might have been talking about this recently) Good job Avvo, I think you got something here.
BizNik - “Business Networking that Doesn’t Suck”. I dig the tag line, but at this time I can’t confirm nor’ deny if thats true.
Earth Class Mail - My personal favorite. I’m not going to even try and describe what they do, check out their site as they have a good explanation. I’ve bounced this off a few people and I haven’t found anyone with my same enthusiasm. I think its rad… does anyone know how they do it?
This video clip is from an early winter storm (late September 2007) that sank numerous boats mored on Lake Tahoe… check out the people surfing lake tahoe!
I’m in San Francisco for the Ad:Tech conference. I have some spare time between running around so I’d thought I’d write my first blog post.
Every time I visit San Francisco., I’m blown away by how large the homeless population is in this city and for some reason they are more aggressive then anyplace I have ever been.
I make it a rule to not give anyone money, unless of course they are selling the Street Sheet, by the Coalition on Homelessness, San Francisco. The Street Sheet is a local newspaper style publication produced to give the homeless a way to make a buck. I’m a big supporter of this paper, as it serves a dual purpose. It gets information out to the public about the problems and issues facing the homeless and it gives people a way to make money without sitting idle. I make it a point to buy one on every visit down here, I also like chatting with the people selling them as they are mostly nice and have something interesting to say.
STREET SHEET is a monthly tabloid written primarily by homeless and formerly homeless people that provides its readers with a perspective on homelessness that mainstream media simply cannot match. It provides a unique opportunity to its vendors as well: a dignified alternative to panhandling. The STREET SHEET (cover price $1) is given free to qualified poor and homeless San Franciscans, who get to retain 100% of the proceeds from their sales. Last year, the paper celebrated its 15th anniversary, making it the oldest continuously published street newspaper in the world.
Next time your in San Francisco and someone approaches you with a Street Sheet, buy one and tell them to keep it up.
